Can you believe it’s been a whole year since our first Hack Through the Holidays event? We certainly can’t! Over the year, our growing community of Cyber Range fans and budding Cybersecurity pros has helped us hit some impressive milestones:
- Over 1.3 million points scored!
- 9,009 challenges solved
- 70+ free public events
- 16 perfect scores
- 8 hacker profiles
- 1 new platform UI launched
As great as those numbers are, we’d like to see even greater Cybersecurity skills growth in 2020! If our community is going to chip away at the estimated 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs estimated for 2021, we need to start enabling the curious, energetic, and slightly mischievous minds in 2020. Whether you’re a 12-year-old helping peers learn to hack or and Academic Anthropologist shifting your focus to security, there’s a path for you grow and hone your cybersecurity skills.
The Security Innovation team has some great community plans for 2020 and are happy to reveal one of them just a few days early. Our 2nd annual Hack Through the Holidays event will be using a reskinned version of the InstaFriends Cyber Range - everyone’s favorite insecure social media site. We hope the new design, images, colors, and overall feel of the site will encourage even more cyber-pros of the future to jump in and hack away!
Our team is thankful for the overwhelming response our public events have received in the last year, and are dedicated to helping close the Cybersecurity skill and job gaps. To help end 2019 on a high note, please come Hack Through the Holidays with us!
